I write this post for all those people who like me, have decided to change his residence in search of new experiences, language or what is important here, and work. The first thing I recommend is that you relax and get ready for some hours working in front of your computer; it is not easy to make a CV in English, let alone do it well.
The SC is divided into 8 parts, and none of them is a place for photography. As there is no room for the title CV, Curriculum Vitae, Etc.
1. Personal
details: name, address, email and phone number. Forget date of birth,
nationality or marital status.
2. Personal
Profile: no doubt the most difficult. This is a summary of about 3 to 4
lines you talk about your education more relevant, your experience, your skills
and personal qualities. Do not speak in first person, always in the third, is
concise, remember it is a micro-summary of your CV, and should be oriented to
the position you want. Will often be all you read carefully.
3. Work
Experience: professional experience, the general rule is to start with the
most recent work. It begins with the date, the title of the work, the company
name, and most importantly, your obligations, called in English Duties, creates
a detailed list of all those functions performed, point by point and always
begins with dynamic verbs; Supervised, Advised, Dealt with, created, Organized,
etc..
4. Education:
as in the experience begins with the latest studies. Date, Course Title, Name
of the center, modules and/or subjects. You can include test scores. It
includes the really relevant education for the post here.
5. Other
training: additional training includes a certificate or additional course
you have made. The way to develop is equal to the previous point of Education.
This point is dispensable.
6. Skills: you can include those learned
in other jobs, such as certain computer programs, driving license, languages
(mention the level spoken and written) and so on.
7. Hobbies/Interests:
take advantage of this point to give an interesting touch and attractive, be
careful what you write, mention if you play sports especially if a member of
any Club, or if you've done volunteer work (increasingly valued by companies)
and so on.
8.
Referees: usually include two. They take the name of the person you
can handle, its position, the company name, address and phone. If the reference
company is not in the country in which you are submitting your CV, do not put
it better.
Basics you should know:
Avoid using
colors, black and white only, uses classical sources such as Arial or Times New
Roman, no more than two pages, be clear and concise, your personal profile
works well, remember that the professional uses only 10 to 15 seconds read your
CV, so you have to make it easy. And finally, check again and again what you
write, a misspelling or a margin gives off a bad impression and may discard
immediately.
Good luck!
